Yellow Van Stories is an interview podcast hosted by the photographer and filmmaker Bastian Fischer. He speaks to people across the globe harnessing the creative power of culture in times of crisis and how it can bring us closer together.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the topic of the second season became very clear to us.
We decided to invite Ukrainians into the van to share their stories with us and to learn more about Ukraine’s cultural identity, because, too often, it has been appropriated by a chauvinistic Russian narrative. The same narrative now serving as a pretence to the war.
Supporting Ukraine, in our opinion, therefore has a very strong cultural dimension as well.
We are keeping a window seat just for you every Thursday at 9 pm CET.
