Gayane Arushanian is a #multidisciplinary #artist and the #founder of the School of Experimental #Art in #Kyiv as well as the G-ART Studio in #Zaporizhzhia .
Gayane was born in Armenia and had to flee her home when the first war between Armenia and Azerbaijan broke out. The #Russian invasion of #Ukraine on the 24th of February 2022 made a lot of those memories resurface.
In this passage, Gayane discloses her journey towards regaining the mental fortitude to create art, as she grapples with the terrifying reality of being in a war-torn country and the constant worry for the safety of her loved ones.
